Lots of stars and great activities at the EURO 2024 FESTIVAL Stuttgart
In exactly one month, the first match of UEFA EURO 2024 will take place in the host city of Stuttgart. On June 16, 2024 at 6 pm, Denmark will face Slovenia in Stuttgart Arena. The anticipation is great and today, May 16, in the Baden-Württemberg state capital, the organizers of Host City Stuttgart presented the EURO 2024 FESTIVAL program in the "Stadium of Dreams" on Stuttgart's Marienplatz, making it clear that: Starting with the Opening Concert on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in the Schlossplatz Fan Zone and ending with the UEFA EURO 2024 final on July 14, 2024, the entire city will become a stadium.
The 51 UEFA EURO 2024 matches will of course be the focus of the big public viewing at the Schlossplatz Fan Zone, where all matches will be shown live—with the exception of the parallel matches at the end of the group stage. Host City Stuttgart has decided to broadcast the following games there:
- June 23, 2024, 9 pm: Switzerland - Germany
- June 24, 2024, 9 pm: Croatia - Italy
- June 25, 2024, 6 pm: Netherlands - Austria; at 9 pm Denmark - Serbia
- June 26, 2024, 6 pm: Ukraine - Belgium; at 9 pm Czech Republic - Turkey
But even on the non-match days of UEFA EURO 2024, Host City Stuttgart offers all fans a title-winning program: The EURO 2024 FESTIVAL STUTTGART will create a unique soccer and party atmosphere throughout the city with top music acts, spectacular activities, and interactive events. "On the stages of the four Fan Zones on Schlossplatz, Marktplatz, Karlsplatz, and Schillerplatz, stars will be grabbing the microphone during UEFA EURO 2024," says overall project manager Thomas Pollak for Host City Stuttgart.
The Fan Zones are open on match days from noon to midnight. On non-match days, they will close at 11:00 pm. Admission is free everywhere. Important: The Fan Zones will be accessible to all fans, including those with disabilities. Volunteers and staff from Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB) will be deployed at the stops around the Fan Zones to provide assistance if required.
Fan Zone Schlossplatz
The UEFA EURO 2024 matches will be shown live at the Schlossplatz Fan Zone against a unique backdrop. Fifteen food outlets will provide a wide range of culinary delights from classics such as various types of sausages and steak and fries to Swabian specialties and vegetarian goulash.
All entrances to the public viewing are accessible to wheelchair users thanks to wide entrance gates. People with limited mobility are recommended to use the entrance at the New Palace on the Richard-von-Weizsäcker-Planie side, as this is the shortest route to the platform for people with limited mobility. An inductive hearing system, seats for people with walking disabilities with a good view of the stage, and an audio-descriptive report via the official EURO app enable people with disabilities to participate in the EURO 2024 FESTIVAL. Host City Stuttgart has also set up a service point for people with disabilities at Schlossplatz on the wall of the Old Palace, where information on support services will be provided and questions answered. It is possible for the catering offers to be read aloud for visually impaired people. Below is the stage program on the non-match days:
