Program on July 5, 2024
On July 5, 2024, the German national team will battle Spain in Stuttgart for a place in the semi-finals of UEFA EURO 2024, with kick-off at 6 pm. With a sold-out stadium, full public viewing and many fans on the streets before and after the match, Stuttgart will become the football capital of Germany next Friday.
One thing is for sure: tens of thousands of fans want to get to the match safely and together.
This will be accompanied by numerous road traffic restrictions, such as the closure of Mercedesstraße from around 8 am. It will no longer be possible to get to and from Bad Cannstatt via Mercedesstraße, Benzstraße, Daimlerstraße and Alte Untertürkheimer Straße. This will affect all traffic on the main roads to and from Bad Cannstatt. The city will have diversions labelled. However, it is advisable to drive well clear of the NeckarPark area.
Main roads will also be closed so that fans can get to the stadium easily. From 1:30 pm, the B14 Cannstatter Straße will be closed in both directions, Wolframstraße in the direction of the B14, Uferstraße in the direction of the city centre, Neckartalstraße in the direction of the city centre and the König-Karl-Brücke in the direction of Bad Cannstatt. Further short-term closures are to be expected in the city centre and NeckarPark.
The City of Stuttgart strongly recommends that you avoid driving in the city centre and in the Bad Cannstatt/NeckarPark area on Friday and use buses, trains and bicycles instead.
