Update on traffic measures on Wednesday, 26 June 2024
Stuttgart - The upcoming football match between Ukraine and Belgium in the Stuttgart Arena on Wednesday 26/06/2014 at 6 p.m. will have a much greater impact on evening traffic than expected. According to the latest information, around 8,000 fans of the Belgian team will march together to the Stuttgart Arena - significantly more than originally reported.
For safety reasons, some roads in the city area will therefore be closed from 2:00 pm. The B14 in the Cannstatter Straße area (both directions), Wolframstraße in the direction of the B14 and the König-Karl-Brücke in the direction of Bad Cannstatt will be closed. The closures may last until around 6:00 pm. This will also affect rush-hour traffic. The closures will therefore also be noticeable in the city centre districts and in Bad Cannstatt.
The closure of Mercedesstraße will remain unchanged from around 8:00 am. It will no longer be possible to travel to and from Bad Cannstatt via Mercedesstraße, Benzstraße, Daimlerstraße and Alte Untertürkheimer Straße. This will affect all traffic on the main roads to and from Bad Cannstatt. The city will have diversions signposted. However, it is advisable to drive well clear of the NeckarPark area.
The city of Stuttgart therefore strongly recommends leaving the car at home on Wednesday and using buses, trains and bicycles instead.
