Before the UEFA EURO 2024 enters the nerve-wracking quarter-final phase next Friday, we will once again set off musical fireworks on Thursday, July 4, 2024. You con look forward to musical fun with Papis Pumpels and voXXclub at our Fan Zone Schlossplatz. As always, all concerts are free of charge. The other three Fan Zones, Marktplatz, Karlsplatz and Schillerplatz, will once again offer you a sporting and musical supporting program - including the 2024 Mini European Championship Primary School Cup, the official youth jazz orchestra of the Federal Republic of Germany and plenty of culinary delights.

Good to know: The Fan Zone Schlossplatz opens at 4 p.m. The Fan Zones Karlsplatz, Schillerplatz and Marktplatz start their program at 12 noon. Admission to all Fan Zones - including the concerts in the Fan Zone Schlossplatz - is free of charge. The complete calendar of events can be found here (subject to change).

FAN ZONE SCHLOSSPLATZ:

While the Fan Zone Schlossplatz attracts the football fans among you with public viewing on match days, music fans in particular can look forward to a musical summer evening with an exuberant atmosphere on July 4. We as the Host City Stuttgart invite you to join in the fun in the open air.

The SWR DJ will get you in the mood for the concert evening from 7 p.m. before Papis Pumpels takes the stage. The nine-member group from the Ländle region will get you celebrating with German pop music. Afterwards, voXXclub will rock the stage and you with their well-known hits. Admission is free. A wide range of culinary delights will be provided by 15 restaurants.

4:00 p.m.: Gates open

7:00 p.m.: SWR DJ

7:45 p.m.: Papis Pumpels

With humorous German pop music, the Papis Pumpels are guaranteed to put you in a good mood. The nine-strong group from the Ländle region is known for its unusual outfits and rousing atmosphere. Their reinterpretations of hits by well-known artists such as Udo Jürgens, Michael Holm and Peter Maffay are sure to make your heart beat faster.

9:25 p.m.: voXXclub

Thanks to their hits such as "Rock Mi" and "Donnawedda", the five vocal acrobats from voXXclub have long been regulars in the charts, on TV shows and on stage. The list of their awards is long: four ECHO nominations, two Gold Awards, a Platinum Award in Germany and Austria and many other prizes have already been won by the folk-pop band from Munich. With wit, charm and strong voices, you can be guaranteed that voXXclub delivers unique fun on Stuttgart's Schlossplatz.

Getting to the Fan Zone Schlossplatz:

In principle, the following applies: Significant visitor numbers are expected in Stuttgart over the entire period until July 14, 2024. This will also affect traffic. In addition, there may be road closures on the main roads due to certain situations, which cannot be planned in advance. These will occur on an ad hoc basis in addition to the existing closures in the city center. The parking garages in the city center will not be accessible. There are a few parking spaces available outside the "Cityring".

After the matches (regardless of the Host City Stuttgart venue), obstructions due to motorcades must be expected. This may result in temporary road closures, especially in the city center. Additional traffic obstructions are then expected. It is therefore strongly recommended that you travel by public transport or bicycle.

The U6 subway line runs every ten minutes from the airport to the "Schlossplatz" station, the journey takes 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the S2 and S3 commuter rail lines to the main station. Travel time: 30 minutes.

The U5, U6, U7, U12 and U15 subway lines run from the main station to the "Schlossplatz" stop. The journey time is two minutes. The walk takes about ten minutes.

FAN ZONE MARKTPLATZ

Despite the match-free day, the Fan Zone Marktplatz is once again your sporting venue. If you like kicking the ball yourself or love gaming, this is the place to be. Tournaments, fan matches and other sporting activities take place on the soccer court. You can also drop by for a spontaneous match. There are also two gaming areas where you have plenty of options to play various games all day.

All day: Play in the two gaming areas. In the outdoor gaming area, you can try out action tools such as a Teqball table and the SUTU Wall. In the indoor gaming area there is a table football table and a football box. EA Sports FC can also be played. In the Creator Studio, pictures are created that are reminiscent of an unforgettable fan day in the Host City Stuttgart.

10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.: 2024 Mini European Championship Primary School Cup

Over two days, the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs is hosting the "2024 Mini European Championship Primary School Cup" for primary schools from the administrative district of Stuttgart on our Fan Zone Marktplatz. Eight girls' and eight boys' teams will take part in the tournament as part of the "Jugend trainiert für Olympia" school sports competition. An attractive accompanying program, which is offered with the support of the football associations, the disabled and rehabilitation sports associations and the sports youth associations of the sports federations, rounds off the event.

Special eye-catchers: The oversized soccer player, the large façade painting and the Giant

Trophy in the town hall (opening hours: 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). There will also be a social wall on the market square where unique fan impressions can be seen, which will be published on social media using the hashtag #hostcitystuttgart. There will also be a fan make-up session in the Fan Zone Marktplatz.

FAN ZONE KARLSPLATZ

The program of the Fan Zone Karlsplatz revolves around culture and music. On July 4, 2024, the Bundesjazzorchester, which under the artistic direction of Niels Klein and Ansgar Striepens is considered an excellent talent factory for future jazz musicians in Germany and celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, will be a guest.

Also worth a visit is the sustainability pavilion at Fan Zone Karlsplatz, which explains you the various areas of sustainability and how they can be implemented in everyday life, thus contributing to education for sustainable development. And if you need a little break, the chill-out area with its comfortable seating is the place to be.

5:00-6:15 p.m.: Bundesjazzorchester

The Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazzO) is the official youth jazz orchestra of the Federal Republic of Germany. Together with renowned conductors and lecturers, outstanding young musicians form an orchestra with the highest musical standards.

The walk from the S-Bahn and U-Bahn station "Stadtmitte" or from the main train station to the Fan Zone takes about 10 minutes.

Safer Space in the Fan Zone Karlsplatz

A Safer Space in the form of an office container will be set up in the Fan Zone Karlsplatz during UEFA EURO 2024 for you. Here, people affected by discriminatory behavior can find help and support from trained specialists.

The Safer Space is open every day until July 14, 2024.

In addition, the specially trained Awareness Team of Host City Stuttgart is clearly recognizable with bright blue, branded vests. Those affected can also contact the security service, the volunteers or the German Red Cross (Deutsche Rote Kreuz).

FAN ZONE SCHILLERPLATZ

If you're cheering on the UEFA EURO 2024 teams and getting excited during the matches, you're going to need a pick-me-up at some point. These are available at the Fan Zone Schillerplatz – the highlight for each of you who enjoys good food and refreshing drinks. There is something for every taste here: from typical Swabian specialties and other delicacies from the region to a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
