Today's game between Belgium and Romania is the final match of the second day of the UEFA EURO 2024 group stage. The next few days will reveal which teams are able to continue to chase their dreams of European glory and which will have to pack their bags early. There are two exciting matches on June 24, 2024:

Albania will take on Spain in Düsseldorf, while Leipzig will host Croatia against Italy. We as the Host City Stuttgart will be showing the Croatia-Italy match live in the Fan Zone Schlossplatz - a stadium-like atmosphere included. All four Fan Zones - Schlossplatz, Marktplatz, Karlsplatz and Schillerplatz - will also be hosting events throughout the day, including the Acoustic Swing Trio, a variety of activities in the Fan Zone Marktplatz and plenty of culinary highlights.

Good to know: With the exception of the Fan Zone Schlossplatz, all Fan Zones will be open during UEFA EURO 2024 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight on match days (until 11:00 p.m. on non-match days). The Fan Zone Schlossplatz opens at 04:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday and at 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday. The exception will be the 5th of July, when a quarter-final will be played in the Stuttgart Arena - presumably with German participation.

Admission is free on all days. The complete event calendar can be found at here (subject to change).

How to get to the Fan Zone Schlossplatz:

In general: For the entire period until July 14, 2024, Stuttgart is expected to be very busy. This will also affect traffic. In addition, there may be occasional road closures on the main roads that cannot be planned in advance. These will occur ad hoc in addition to the already existing closures in the central city center.

The car parks in the city center are not accessible. A few parking facilities are available outside the city ring.

After the matches (regardless of the venue, Host City Stuttgart), car parades are likely to cause disruption. This may lead to temporary road closures, especially in the city center. Additional traffic disruptions are expected.

It is therefore strongly recommended to travel by public transport or bicycle.

From the airport, the U6 underground line runs every ten minutes to the Schlossplatz station, with a journey time of 30 minutes. Alternatively, S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 can be taken to the main railway station. Journey time: 30 minutes.

From the main railway station, the underground lines U5, U6, U7, U12 and U15 take you to Schlossplatz. The journey takes two minutes. The walk from there to the Fan Zone Schlossplatz takes about ten minutes.
