The second part of the round of 16 of UEFA EURO 2024 is coming up on June 30, 2024. Kick-off is at 6 p.m. in Gelsenkirchen, where England will play against Slovakia. At 9 p.m., the ball will roll in the match between Spain and Georgia in Cologne. This match day will decide which team will advance to one of the four quarter-finals and can continue to dream of becoming the European champions. We as the Host City Stuttgart will be broadcasting both matches live in the Fan Zone Schlossplatz - including a stadium-like atmosphere. Throughout the day, our four Fan Zones Schlossplatz, Marktplatz, Karlsplatz and Schillerplatz will once again feature a multifaceted supporting program - including concerts by Sheila Priego and Simone Stahl, an inclusive Zumba party, martial arts performances in the Fan Zone Karlsplatz, a variety of activities in the Fan Zone Marktplatz and plenty of gastronomic highlights in the Fan Zone Schillerplatz.

Good to know: With the exception of the Fan Zone Schlossplatz, all Fan Zones will be open from 12 noon to 12 midnight on match days during UEFA EURO 2024 (until 11 p.m. on non-match days). The Fan Zone Schlossplatz will open at 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday and at 12 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The exception is July 5, when a quarter-final will take place in the Stuttgart Arena - most likely with German participation. Admission is free on all days. The full calendar of events can be found here (subject to change).

How to get to the Fan Zone Schlossplatz:

In general: For the entire UEFA EURO 2024 period until July 14, 2024, Stuttgart is expected to be very busy. This will also affect traffic. In addition, there may be occasional road closures on the main roads that cannot be planned in advance. These will occur ad hoc in addition to the already existing closures in the central city center.

The car parks in the city center are not accessible. A few parking facilities are available outside the city ring.

After the matches (regardless of the location, Host City Stuttgart), car parades are likely to cause disruption. This may lead to temporary road closures, especially in the city center. Additional traffic disruptions are expected.

We therefore strongly recommended you to travel by public transport or bicycle.

From the airport, the U6 underground line runs every ten minutes to the Schlossplatz station, with a journey time of 30 minutes. Alternatively, S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 can be taken to the main railway station. Journey time: 30 minutes.

From the main railway station, the underground lines U5, U6, U7, U12 and U15 take you to Schlossplatz. The journey takes two minutes. The walk from there to the Fan Zone Schlossplatz takes about ten minutes.

FAN ZONE MARKTPLATZ

The Fan Zone Marktplatz is once again back in action on June 30. If you like kicking the ball around or playing games, this is the place to be. There will be tournaments, fan matches and other sporting activities on the football pitch. Fans can also drop by for a spontaneous match. You can play as much as you like in the two gaming areas at Fan Zone Marktplatz.

Special eye-catcher: The oversized footballer and the large mural and the giant trophy in the town hall. There is also a social wall on the Fan Zone Marktplatz, where unique fan impressions are shown that can be posted on social media using the hashtag #hostcitystuttgart.

Getting to the Fan Zone Marktplatz

The walk from the "Stadtmitte" S- and U-Bahn underground station or from the main station to the Fan Zone takes approximately 10 minutes.

FAN ZONE KARLSPLATZ

The program of the Fan Zone Karlsplatz revolves around culture and music. On June 30, two martial arts performances by the ALL-AACHT-Kampfkunst-Akademie Stuttgart in cooperation with 8cht-Mal-8cht e.V. will take place on the stage in the afternoon. Grandmaster Sigung Birol Barış Özden's ALL-AACHT martial arts system is the perfect combination of effective protective techniques and health-promoting training using soft, rounded and undulating movements that people aged 4 - 88 can learn. Between these two performances, there will be an inclusive Zumba party that invites you to join in. Zumba is a Latin American-inspired dance fitness workout made up of Latin American and international music and dance moves. The evening ends with two further highlights: First, the Mexican singer Sheila Priego performs. She will wow you with a show of jazz, Latin, Mexican and international music. And then Stuttgart singer-songwriter Simone Stahl rounds off the evening. She is the perfect blend of vagabond and cozy. And that is just one of the many bizarre contrasts in her life.

Simone doesn't believe in cryptic whispering: her arrangements sound remarkably natural and her lyrics and melodies immediately get into your blood. A singer-songwriter who is noticed because she is wide awake to the world around her, even when she sings of tender dreams.

Also worth a visit is the Sustainability Pavilion, which provides information on the many areas of sustainability and how to implement them in everyday life, thus contributing to education for sustainable development. And if you need a break, the Chill Out Area with its comfortable seating is just the perfect place for you.
