You are also welcome to send us an e-mail at media.euro2024@in.stuttgart.de.

We hope you have an enjoyable stay with us in the city and experience a great soccer festival together with us, where we will be turning the whole city into a stadium.

Your Host City Stuttgart media team

Your first port of call during UEFA EURO 2024 will be the media center in Fan Zone Schlossplatz, where the public viewing will also take place. It is located in the foyer of the White Hall. There are 40 workstations with high-speed Wi-Fi available. You will also find a Welcome Desk there for providing information as well as a small media lounge and press conference room in the White Hall. From the media center you have direct access to the Fan Zone.

Access is only possible with accreditation from Host City Stuttgart or UEFA.

Last-minute accreditations are possible. Please use the registration link for media. Accreditation is open daily from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. during UEFA EURO 2024.

After positive confirmation of your accreditation, you can pick it up at the accreditation center located in the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle, Berliner Platz 1- 3, 70174 Stuttgart. Please bring a valid ID (passport/ID card) with you when you collect it.

Location: Foyer in the New Palace (right wing of the building)
Days-open: June 13 to July 14, 2024
Opening hours: 4 pm to midnight (until 11 p.m. on nonmatch days)

The range of services at a glance:

  • 40 workstations
  • Welcome Desk for information
  • TV screens for broadcasts and information
  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Some catering on site
  • Lockers/cloakroom
  • Foosball/prediction game

On our map you will find the media access to Fan Zone Schlossplatz marked at the bottom right. The entrance to the media center is also located here.

Parking:
There are no media parking spaces available around the Fan Zone Schlossplatz and at the media center. The traffic concept does not allow direct access to the Media Center. TV teams are advised to unload their equipment at the rear of the New Palace at the barrier to Richard-von-Weizäcker-Planie and then park their vehicle elsewhere. Alternatively, we recommend using local public transportation.

Whether it’s a public viewing area, or the stage program with top acts playing at Fan Zone Schlossplatz on nonmatch days, local food and drink at Fan Zone Schillerplatz, activities and families at Fan Zone Marktplatz, or culture and music at Fan Zone Karlsplatz, our four Fan Zones – more than in any other host city – offer a program to suit everyone from June 13 to July 14, 2024.

You can find today’s program for Host City Stuttgart here.

Here you will find a complete overview of the Host City Stuttgart program on each day. You are also welcome to use the search function if you are looking for a specific program item. You will then be shown the corresponding day or days for a recurring program item.

There is a TV platform at the side of Fan Zone Schlossplatz, as well as a smaller platform at the front of the stage. Another alternative is the music pavilion in the upper part of the Fan Zone toward Königstraße.

There are no fixed places on the platforms. Access to the TV platforms is granted following registration at the media center. It is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask all TV teams to behave in a cooperative manner when occupying the platforms.

If you have any questions about the TV platforms or technical support, please contact the team at the media center.

If you have any further questions, please contact the team at the media center.

Host City Stuttgart coordinators are available for interviews. Please note that interviews must be requested at least three days before the desired date, otherwise it will not be possible to hold them during UEFA EURO 2024. For interview requests, please contact the team at the media center or send us an e-mail at media.euro2024@in.stuttgart.de.

Here in Host City Stuttgart, the quickest way to get from A to B is by public transportation, bicycle, and e-scooter. We strongly recommend that you leave your car at home and move around the city as described above. We have compiled the key questions and answers for you here:

How do you get to the Host City by train?

  • The Stuttgart central station in the heart of the city is part of the ICE, EC, and IC networks and, from it, you have access to a large number of international connections.
  • The Bad Cannstatt station is an important transportation hub, especially on match days, and is only about 2.5 km away from Stuttgart Arena.
  • The S-Bahn station Stadtmitte, on the commuter rail network, is only a few minutes away from the Fan Zones.
  • The Schlossplatz, Charlottenplatz, and Rathaus light rail stops are in the immediate vicinity of the Fan Zones.

How do you get to Host City Stuttgart by plane?

  • The Stuttgart International Airport (STR) is located about 10 km southwest of the city center. It is about 30 minutes from the central station by commuter train (it departs directly from the terminal).
  • It takes about 30 minutes to get to the city center on the light rail (U6), which you can walk to from the terminal in five minutes.
  • Alternative airports are: Frankfurt (FRA) – approx. two hours to Stuttgart city center; Munich (MUC) – approx. three hours to Host City Stuttgart center; Zurich (ZRH) – approx. four hours to Stuttgart city center.

What is the best way to get from the airport to the city center?

  • On the U6 light rail line: The journey time is around 30 minutes and trains run every ten minutes.
  • Commuter train: The S2 and S3 commuter rail lines also take around 30 minutes. The train runs every 15 minutes.
  • Taxi: A cab ride from the airport to downtown will cost you around 50 euros and should take about 30 minutes.
  • Detailed information on arrival and departure from the airport can also be found here.

How good is the public transportation in Stuttgart? What is the best line to take for specific destinations?

  • Host City Stuttgart offers you one of the densest local transportation networks in Germany. Stuttgart’s transportation network consists of light rail (marked with a “U”), commuter rail (marked with an “S”), and buses.
  • They allow guests and locals to get anywhere in the city. It is not only the cheapest way to get from A to B, but usually also the fastest. The travel costs depend on the number of zones you cross. Tickets are available via the VVS app, the VVS website, at station ticket vending machines, or – at larger stations – at staffed ticket counters. Please note that most tickets must be stamped before traveling. During the UEFA EURO 2024, the light rail will run until 1:30 in the morning.
  • The light rail trains run every 10 minutes during the day, and this frequency will be extended into the night during the UEFA EURO 2024. Service begins at around 4:30 a.m. and ends at around 1:30 a.m.
  • The U1, U2, and U11 lines will play an important role for arena visitors. They connect downtown (e.g., central station [Arnulf-Klett-Platz] and Charlottenplatz stops) to the Bad Cannstatt district. Ticket holders can similarly take the commuter and regional trains to Bad Cannstatt and then walk the rest of the way.
  • The S1, S2. and S3 commuter rail lines, which stop at Bad Cannstatt station, run every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday until approx. 8:30 p.m. After 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays, the lines run every 30 minutes.
  • The S3 commuter rail line serves the stops from Backnang to Stuttgart-Vaihingen during rush hour. Outside these periods, the route is extended to the Airport/Messe stop.
  • In conjunction with the S2 line, this enables a frequency of 10–20 minutes between the central station and the airport/trade fair center, even outside rush hours. Outside rush hours, the S1, S2, and S3 lines will be supported with special trains for arrivals and departures on match days. The timetable will be extended to transport spectators based on the kick-off time.
  • SSB night buses run at night, from Monday to Friday hourly between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., and, on Saturday nights, Sundays, and public holidays, approx. every 30 minutes.

Are there other ways to get around the Host City?

  • There are sufficient and central spaces for alternative forms of transportation, such as bicycle parking facilities and bicycle rental systems. In addition to the existing facilities at the Stuttgart central station, Schlossgarten, and Paulinenbrücke (city center), four additional large, attractively designed, and secure bicycle parking facilities will be set up around the Fan Zone on Schlossplatz and will be equipped with all the important service features.
  • All the latest bicycle types are being provided for, including e-bikes/pedelecs or cargo bikes.
  • Together with e-scooter rental providers and bike-sharing providers, there is a joint, coordinated, and attractive usage concept on offer.

What is the quickest way to get from the airport to the arena?

  • The S2 and then S1 commuter rail lines run directly from the airport to the NeckarPark commuter rail stop in approx. 45 minutes.

How much time should you plan for the walk from the public viewing at Fan Zone Schlossplatz to Stuttgart Arena?

  • If you want to get from the Fan Zone to the stadium, you should allow around 10–15 minutes by public transportation.
